Gareth Jones is a thoughtful practitioner who is able to draw on a strong and wide base of experience gathered across a 25 year career.
He has successfully advised on general commercial contract disputes including fintech app disputes, agent commission claims, shareholder disputes, contested personal and corporate insolvency claims on behalf of creditors, debtors and insolvency practitioners, property disputes, defamation claims (for publishers and their journalists as well as the subjects of libellous publications) and construction adjudications.
He typically acts for entrepreneurs and SMEs alike and is well-versed in the full range of tools available to parties who find themselves involved in disputes and needing to enforce judgments.
The majority of his cases settle before trial, either via mediation or by negotiated settlement.
Gareth was previously a Litigation Principal at Clintons after a number of years as Partner at Ince & Co. and before then, Gordon Dadds which merged by acquisition with Ince & Co. Gareth spent two years as one of the first Legal Assistants in its International Arbitration team at the London office of Skadden Arps towards the beginning of his career.
Gareth is an active committee member of the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and maintains strong links with his Swiss network following an exchange year to the University of Fribourg during his undergraduate degree.
